I set up this business in 2019 after almost 10 years of working in private practice, as I believe I can offer a unique service compared to what is already available to help my clients.
My philosophy as a physiotherapist has always been to provide a patient-led and patient-goal-orientated service, where you control the direction and aims of your treatment. That may be anything from reducing pain, improving flexibility, injury rehabilitation, being able to play with the grandchildren or running a marathon.
Treatment involves a combination of manual or “hands-on” therapy, exercise therapy/rehabilitation and, perhaps most importantly, education and advice to help you achieve your short and long-term goals.
Having had the privilege of working alongside a number of talented physical and mental health professionals over the years, I have been able to make fantastic contacts which is vital in many cases to help you get you to where you want to be.
Many of my clients have previously thought that they are stuck with their pain or have been told "there is nothing more that can be done" with various symptoms and conditions. It is my belief that there is always something that can be done so that you feel better and it is my job to help you achieve that improvement.
ABOUT ME - JAVIN PILLAY
As an economics graduate from Loughoborough University, I had a number of opportunities infront of me, but I made the decision to change from a career in business and finance to pursue my main interests of sport and anatomy. In 2008 I retrained as a physiotherapist at Sheffield Hallam University and graduated in 2011 with a BSc in physiotherapy.
Away from work, sport has always been my main passion, specifically football and golf. Since stopping football in 2017, I have needed something to satisfy my competitive nature and golf has definitely managed to meet that need. My next goal is to try and get my handicap down to single figures.
Sport has helped me with an understanding of injuries and bio-mechanics, as well as rehabilitation and the requirements to perform at various levels.
